Problem Statement
Students enjoy consuming baked goods including cookies while they are studying, at social gatherings, or even after coming from a night out. While many bakeries near the George Mason University are closed well before midnight, customers including college students are left without a bakery that sells variety of cookies.
Nite Bite is a Old Town Fairfax Bakery open from sundown to sunup. It’s known for it’s soothing atmosphere perfect for studying or for taking a break. Located near the George Mason University campus, the store sells cookies that are sweet, salty, vegan, and chocolate for customers in Northern Virginia, and mainly for college students. Nite Bite also delivers for free at any time.

Problem Statement: Humans are diverse with unique life experiences. They look for professional help from therapists who can relate to their problems and understand their experiences. People go to multiple therapists to find the right fit. They look for the price for each session, insurance details, location, and what topics the therapist specializes in. It’s beneficial to have an app that includes details to make it easy for users to find the right therapist.
Goal and Target Audience: The NAMI App is designed to achieve three goals: find a therapist, have therapists join the directory, and for individuals to learn more about therapy. The target audience are users who care about their mental health and want to seek support from a professional, and therapists who want to share their information.

Phone App Design: TravelSafe App
Assignment: Create a travel phone application that incorporates an operating system level feature into the design (i.e. camera, microphone, location, gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.)
Problem Statement: There is an increase in crimes around the world while more people are traveling worldwide. An app is needed where people can we feel safe in real time from natural disasters, hate crimes, robberies, illnesses, etc. when traveling to any country at any time.
The TravelSafe App is a travel safety app that will allow travelers from around the world to be notified of any dangers that are happening around them once they land from current location to five miles, to 50 miles, and to 200 miles. Dangers will be categorized into groups: violence, natural disasters and health.

Native + Pairable App: Honda Key App
Assignment: Design a native mobile phone application pairable with a secondary complimentary device with an interface.
Problem Statement: Vehicles should be controlled digitally to make our busy lives easier. The Honda Key App is paired with a digital Honda key that has an interface which allows users to digitally control their vehicles from any location at any time.
